Charlie Crew will be ready for selection when Walsall travel to face Fleetwood Town in League Two this weekend. Manager Lee Grant provided this news on Wednesday while evaluating several squad members coming back from representing their countries.

Crew was involved for the Wales under-21 side, completing two full matches. His return journey happened immediately after playing, aligning with a typical schedule between games. Grant monitored the player's performance remotely and anticipates he will be fine to play.

"Charlie Crew played on a Tuesday, so it falls into that familiar pattern of Tuesday-Saturday," Grant said. "So we won't have any worries about not having him available for selection."

Rico Browne is already back with his teammates after participating in every minute of his national team's recent tournament matches. Courtney Clarke is currently en route back to England following his involvement with the Jamaican squad. The manager plans to check on both athletes in the coming days, with decisions on their fitness expected following the final practice before the match.

Grant noted his satisfaction at having players called up but emphasized the immediate priority is the club's campaign. Walsall, positioned in seventh, meet a Fleetwood team sitting in 18th place.

The team is close to the summit of the division and aims to continue a mixed sequence of results from their previous five fixtures. They play next at Highbury Stadium.
