Walsall Under-18s have confirmed a busy pre-season schedule as they look to rebound from a disappointing 2025/26 season. The young Saddlers will compete in the EFL Youth Alliance, Birmingham Senior Cup, Staffordshire Senior Cup, and Walsall Senior Cup. They will open pre-season with a match against Birmingham City U18s on Saturday, 4th July, before a midweek trip to Sixways Stadium, where a Walsall XI will take on Worcester City's first team on Tuesday, 7th July. An away trip to Swindon Town U18s on Saturday, 11th July, will precede a visit to Scotland, where they're due to take on Motherwell and Kilmarnock. Returning to England, they'll conclude their pre-season preparations with a short trip to Gloucestershire, where they'll take on Cheltenham Town U18s on Saturday, 1st August. The young Saddlers will need to be in top condition to compete against top EFL Youth Alliance teams. They will face a challenging campaign, but with a strong pre-season schedule, they will be well-prepared for the upcoming season. The team's management will be looking to improve on last season's performance and make a push for the top of the EFL Youth Alliance table.
