Walsall Football Club has announced a rebrand of its events department to forge a closer link with its iconic stadium. The operation, previously known as WFC The Venue, will now be called Events at Walsall Football Club, as reported by Bescot Banter this week.

The change includes a new logo and a centralised online hub on the club's official website, saddlers.co.uk. All information on venue hire, weddings, conferences, and festive celebrations is now consolidated in one place. The club's Head of Venue Sales, Tara Elwell, said the move "marks an exciting new chapter for the venue and provides an ideal opportunity to shows the flexibility of our event spaces."

Why did Walsall FC make this change?

The rebrand is a strategic effort to use the high profile of the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium. Situated next to the M6 motorway, the ground is a well-known landmark in the West Midlands. The club believes the new identity will make it clearer that these versatile event spaces are an integral part of Walsall FC. Elwell highlighted the venue's strategic location minutes from Junction 9 of the M6 and its excellent public transport links, positioning it for both regional and national events.

What events are planned for the Christmas period?

The festive season is a key focus for the newly branded department. Venue Sales Account Manager Alex Humpage confirmed a busy 2026 Christmas schedule is already in place. Events include 80s and 90s themed party nights, live DJ sets, and Bingo Raves. The experienced team offers tailored packages to help plan private parties and corporate gatherings of any size. "This rebrand not only reflects our ambition for the future but also reinforces our position as one of the region's leading event venues," Humpage stated.

How does this fit with the club's wider activities?

This commercial initiative runs alongside the team's sporting commitments. Walsall currently competes in League Two and is preparing for its next league fixture. Fans can track the team's progress and upcoming matches, including key dates in the fixtures calendar, on the club's site. The events rebrand aims to generate additional revenue, which can support the footballing side. The club's full squad list shows a mix of experienced players and younger prospects who will be looking to climb the standings this season.
