Walsall FC have undergone a significant summer rebuild, with 12 new faces arriving and 14 departing since the end of last season. Lee Grant, the club's manager, has revealed that he does not expect Walsall to do much more business this summer, but added that the club are still open to opportunities in the transfer market. Grant is pleased with the squad he has assembled, but has not completely written off the possibility of strengthening further. The club have already signed nine permanent deals this summer, with Roman Dixon becoming the latest recruit on Tuesday. Grant believes that having a large number of permanent signings has helped to give the group a sense of stability. He also thinks that the right characters, who want to push and prove themselves, are positive for the team. The Saddlers are next in action on August 27th, when they face Barnet away in the league.
